Henry made his first appearance since November during Saturday night's Primera Liga match against Real Mallorca after replacing Giovani Dos Santos midway through the second half.

Henry, who had been sidelined with a back injury, did not manage to get on the scoresheet but he helped create Barcelona's second goal in the 2-0 win for Samuel Eto'o, and Rijkaard was pleased just to see the prolific hitman back on the pitch.

"We hope he can forget his injury because we need all the players and Henry also means a lot to us," said the Dutchman, who will soon lose star striker Eto'o because of international commitments at the African Nations Cup.

"Henry scored a goal that was disallowed and was also involved in the build up to the Eto'o goal."
