Lyon striker Milan Baros will stand before the French league's disciplinary commission next week to explain his controversial gesture in the recent Ligue 1 match against Rennes.
Baros has been accused of abusing Rennes defender Stephane M'Bia with a racist gesture during last Wednesday's game.
The Czech Republic international was seen pinching his nose and waving his hand in the direction of M'Bia as if to waft away a smell, after the pair clashed in the first half.
Baros maintains he did not utter anything racist to M'Bia, but the incident was brought up at a disciplinary hearing today.
The commission has now decided to convene both Baros and M'Bia next Thursday to explain the incident.
Commission president Jacques Riolacci said: "We will ask them questions that need to be asked.
"It is an affair that has aroused quite a lot of comment in the media.
"Millions of television viewers have seen the gesture of Baros on the pitch.
"Different interpretations have been given. It is therefore normal that the disciplinary commission looks into the affair."
