Argentina boss Alfio Basile will be looking for more of the same from Juan Roman Riquelme when his side visit Venezuela for their second 2010 World Cup qualifier.
Two brilliant free-kicks from Riquelme gave Argentina a 2-0 win over Chile on Saturday, while the Vinotinto claimed a shock 1-0 victory in Ecuador thanks to a scorching 45-yard set piece from Jose Manuel Rey.
Basile is expected to name an unchanged line-up so Riquelme, who has not been playing for his club side Villarreal this season, will contest his second game in four days.
"He is a magician with his feet," said Basile. "Riquelme shone (on Saturday). When I named him, I knew he was training hard and players don't forget how to play."
Venezuela are on a high after stunning Ecuador and striker Giancarlo Maldonado knows it is important to take points from the likes of Argentina if they are to reach their first ever World Cup.
He said: "We claimed a very important win in Quito and now we are going to play Argentina in the best possible form.
"We know we cannot drop points at home. The opening four rounds are crucial to clinch what we are looking for."
Uruguay travel to Paraguay on Wednesday on the back of a 5-0 thrashing of Bolivia.
Paraguay coach Gerardo Martino is hoping for a change of fortune after his side played out a goalless draw in Peru on Saturday.
"The Uruguay game will be very difficult as they are in very good form. We'll try to beat them as we have able players who are focused on this game."
Boca Juniors forward Carlos Bueno is a doubt for Uruguay after picking up an ankle injury.
Charruas boss Oscar Tabarez said: "Paraguay pressure well when you have the ball and are strong in the air, though they haven't shown potential in attack."
Chile welcome Pacific neighbours Peru to Santiago with both sides looking for their first win.
Peru midfielder Nolberto Solano feels his side missed out after claiming just a point against Paraguay.
"We are angry for not defeating Paraguay in Lima and not having played as we wanted, so we go to Chile determined to win," he said.
Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa was similarly unhappy with his side's showing in Buenos Aires: "There are a lot of things to change. We are not happy, but the fact we are playing on Wednesday increases our motivation."
Brazil welcome Ecuador to Rio de Janeiro, with goalkeeper Julio Cesar promising an improvement from Sunday's goalless stalemate in Colombia
"The Maracana is bigger and I think Kaka and Ronaldinho will be able to play better there," he said. "I'm sure we can achieve a better score."
Ecuador striker Antonio Valencia has not flown to Brazil with the rest of his team-mates as the Wigan forward picked up a knee injury which requires tests.
Finally, in La Paz, Bolivia will try to get over their heavy defeat at Uruguay as they play host to Colombia.
