Basle strengthened their challenge for the Super League title with a 4-2 win over leaders FC Zurich in the top-of-the-table clash on Sunday.
Ivan Rakitic gave second-placed Basle an eighth-minute lead which was cancelled out seven minutes later by Marc Schneider.
Felipe Caicedo then scored a second for the hosts before Rakitic completed his double to give Basle a 3-1 advantage.
Substitute Sebastian Kollar pulled a goal back for Zurich but a last-minute strike from Daniel Majstorovic sealed the win for Basle, who closed the gap at the top to just three points with seven matches remaining.
At the other end of the standings, Aarau saw their relegation worries deepen with a 1-0 defeat at Lucerne.
Pascal Bader scored the only goal of the game after 68 minutes to leave Aarau still stuck in the bottom two, six points behind FC Thun who suffered a 2-1 loss at FC Sion on Sunday.
Goran Obradovic and Alvaro Saborio scored the goals for Sion with Julian Buhler replying for Thun.
