Franck Ribery struck after 26 minutes and Lukas Podolski two minutes after the break to leave Arminia just a point above the Bundesliga drop zone.

It was one-way traffic from the first whistle as Ottmar Hitzfeld's men won at a canter.

Their first big chance came after 17 minutes after Ribery and Philipp Lahm played a neat one-two - only for the Frenchman to have his 10-yard effort from a tight angle parried by Rowen Fernandez.

Bielefeld though could have gone ahead when Robert Tesche got on the end of a corner from Jonas Kamper only for Ze Roberto to scrape the ball off the line.

The resulting corner was met by Markus Bollmann whose header struck the right post.

But that was as good as it got for the visitors as Bayern went straight upfield, Luca Toni sending Ribery clear and the midfielder finishing past Fernandez.

Toni had a goal ruled out five minutes later for a clear handball before Podolski's weak header was easily saved by Fernandez.

The Germany international made amends just 70 seconds after the break though when he shook off Radim Kucera on the left and fired home from 20 yards.

Toni proceeded to squander several chances to increase the lead - the most glaring when he headed wide when completely unmarked in the area - but Arminia's challenge had already been negotiated.
