The two sides will play a friendly in California as the La Liga champions prepare for another busy season of domestic and continental football.

And for Beckham - who counts Manchester United and Real Madrid among his former teams - is looking forward to playing a club he describes as one of the two biggest in the world.

"Every time you turn out for Manchester United or Real Madrid it's full stadiums," Beckham said.

"Any game, whether it's a Champions League game, a La Liga game, a Premiership game or an exhibition game like tomorrow night, people want to see the players that play for Real Madrid.

"They've always had the best players in the world there, the same as Manchester United, so the expectation levels are always higher with both teams. They are two exceptional teams."

Beckham's team-mate Landon Donovan is hoping his side can excite the fans with an attacking display of football.

But he also insists Sunday's league match against Seattle is more important for the reigning MLS champions.

"It's a fun game to be a part of," Donovan said.

"I know it's important to our fans. It's important to our club. At the end of the day, as a captain and leader of this team, I've got my mind more set on Sunday but it'll be enjoyable and we want to make sure we play the game the right way and put on a good show."

Galaxy forward Robbie Keane believes these type of exhibition matches are good for the fringe members of the squad, with the feeling of playing against a big team and in front of a large crowd beneficial to their future development.

"It's good for the young lads who haven't experienced playing against players like this and it's good for those who haven't played to get some minutes under their belt," Keane said.

Real Madrid will be looking to bounce back from a 5-2 friendly defeat to Benfica on Friday.
