LA Galaxy star David Beckham has added spice to the Pan Pacific Championship branding the recent Sydney-Galaxy game the “friendly that wasn’t very friendly”.
To see Sydney train in Hawaii...

Beckham was speaking at the official press conference for the Pan Pacific Championship in Hawaii.
Sydney FC faces MLS Champions Houston Dynamo on Wednesday while LA Galaxy plays Gamba Osaka with the two winners facing off in the final on Sunday while the two losing teams meet in a 3rd/4th playoff.
“We’ve played against Sydney FC, which was a friendly ... well, it wasn’t friendly at times, but that’s how football is sometimes,” said Beckham
“The teams we are playing against have all got great players so everyone of them is going to be exciting to play against.”
Sydney coach John Kosmina was positive about the way the team had adapted after arriving in Hawaii and admitted he may tinker with the formation.
“We’ve had two sessions (since we arrived),” Kosmina said. “We had one after we got off the plane yesterday and we got out on the park last night to open the legs up and they actually trained quite well considering they had a long overnight flight.
“Not much is going to change. I’ll go with four at the back. It suits the players we’ve got available and I will have a little toy with whether we play two up front or one up front and look at Alex Brosque becoming a midfielder.”
Sydney FC takes on Houston Dynamo on Wednesday night at 8.30pm (5.30pm Thursday, Sydney time).
