COPENHAGEN, September 21 (SAS-Ligaen) - FC Copenhagen made up ground on second-placed FC Midtjylland in the Danish SAS-Ligaen with a 3-0 win over strugglers AaB.
Atiba Hutchinson opened the scoring four minutes before half-time before a Michael Beauchamp own goal effectively sealed the result eight minutes after the restart.
Second-half substitute Ailton Jose Almeida rounded off the scoring with the final goal nine minutes from time.
Midtjylland for their part could only manage a 0-0 draw with mid-table side Randers, leaving them six points adrift of leaders Odense BK who won 2-1 at AC Horsens thanks to a brace from Baye Fall. Joseph Elanga scored for the hosts.
Elsewhere AGF Aarhus beat 10-man Sonderjyske 2-1 thanks to a 90th-minute penalty converted by Dioh Williams.
Williams had opened the scoring after 53 minutes only to see Ken Ilso level matters four minutes later.
Finally, FC Nordsjaelland came from behind to beat Vejle 2-1.
Adeshina Lawal put the visitors ahead after 20 minutes but Nordsjaelland came back with goals from Martin Bernburg (58) and a last-minute strike from Bajram Fetai.
