The Heerenveen striker was part of a Poland team which beat Swiss second division team FC Schaffhausen 1-0 in a friendly on Friday.

The run-out was less than impressive from the whole team, but Beenhakker has been particularly displeased in Matusiak's performances in training.

He said: "I am very disappointed with Radoslaw Matusiak. His first few days here were a complete disaster.

"Now it's better, but not perfect.

"Matusiak must show some form in the next two friendly games. It's a tragedy when such a good player is wasting his talent."

Beenhakker also has fitness worries in his squad, with Jakub Blaszczykowski (thigh) of Borussia Dortmund and Red Star Belgrade'sGrzegorz Bronowicki (knee) both nursing injuries.

"We're hoping Kuba Blaszczykowski makes a good recovery," said Beenhakker. "In my opinion he should be training normally in the next few days.

"He has been in very good form lately so I hope he recovers quickly.

"If he wasn't going to be ready for Germany but was for the next two matches, I'd still take him."

The outlook is not so positive for Bronowicki, though. "His chances are 50-50 at the moment," said Beenhakker.

"I have alternatives for his position - (Jakub) Wawrzyniak and (Pawel) Golanski. Michal Zewlakow is the best in the centre of defence."

Poland open against Germany on June 8 before matches with co-hosts Austria and Croatia in Group B.

Beenhakker must trim his squad from 26 to 23 by Wednesday.
