Behich put in a full shift at left-back and played his part, despite an early yellow card.

Bursaspor came from behind to defeat sixth-placed Trabzonspor 2-1 away from home to secure their top flight status.

Coming into the game, Bursaspor sat only two points ahead of Rizespor in the drop zone, with an inferior goal difference, meaning only victory would ensure their survival.

Rizespor defeated Alanyaspor 1-0, meaning Bursaspor’s triumph at Trabzonspor kept them up. Bursaspor had lost six straight matches heading into the final day.

Behich made 32 Super Lig starts at left-back for Bursaspor this term, along with two cup appearances.

His competition in the Socceroos squad for a starting berth is Brad Smith who only made seven appearances for Bournemouth this term.

Rosenborg left-back Alex Gersbach was left out of the squad as he’s struggled for game-time in Norway this campaign.

Behich will now be one of the final players to arrive in Socceroos camp.
