FORMER Czech Republic midfielder Patrik Berger has returned to his homeland after agreeing to leave Aston Villa for Sparta Prague.
The 34-year-old has signed a two-year deal with Sparta 13 years after leaving city rivals Slavia Prague.
Berger moved to Borussia Dortmund in 1995 before a goal in the final of Euro 96 against winners Germany helped secure a move to Liverpool. He has also played for Portsmouth and Stoke.
