Victory were awarded a penalty in the first half of the Big Blue at Allianz in November. The game was 0-0, but Berisha missed.

He had an ironic smile on his face as Sydney players Alex Brosque, Filip Holosko, Brandon O’Neill and Michael Zullo got stuck into him.

When asked about whether he’d forgotten about the incident, he responded with: “I cannot remember.”

The Kosovan is looking to win his fourth A-League title this weekend and says Victory will not change their style to suit Allianz Stadium’s controversial surface.

The pitch has deteriorated badly in recent weeks due to the increase in use with the NRL and Super Rugby seasons.

It was criticised in Saturday’s semi-final between Sydney and Perth Glory with A-League boss Greg O’Rourke conceding it’s the worst surface in the competition at the moment.

The NSW Waratahs are set to play Auckland Blues at Allianz on Saturday which could further damage the pitch which is already described as a cow paddock by some supporters.

But despite it being potentially choppy, Berisha it would not alter alter his side's stule of play.

“This doesn’t interest us at all, we’re just looking forward to the final,” he said.

“One of the most important games of our lives so we don’t care we’re we play or who we play. We just want to play this final.”

Victory striker James Troisi admitted it would be an extra challenge but also said it didn’t matter because the pitch has been the same all season.

Troisi has played on the pitch three times this season, twice against Sydney and for the Socceroos in March.

“We’ll try and play the way we normally play, it is going to be a bit more difficult,” Troisi conceded.

Will the Allianz pitch be choppy on Sunday?

“It’s unfortunate, we want to play on good pitches every week, especially a final, but at the end of the day we’ll adjust and deal with it, it’s the same with both teams so it doesn’t matter.”

Berisha feels extremely confident after scoring the winner against his former club Brisbane Roar in the semi-final on Sunday.

He said every player is feeling fully fit should they be needed.

“Everybody is 100 per cent, even if you’re not,” the Berisha said.

“These are the games you lift for, play and breathe. These are the games we’re looking forward to, everybody is not 100… everybody is 1000 per cent.

“We hit the lead 1-0 and we couldn’t hold the result so we can score against them, we can play good football, we proved against Brisbane how dangerous we are, how good we are, defensively, the way we play up front.

“We believe we can do it, we’re going to go there with big motivation after the last game against Brisbane we are really hungry for more.”
