Berisha had to be replaced after 28 minutes after opening the scoring in the 3-1 victory over Newcastle in their FFA Cup Round of 32 clash at Magic Park on Wednesday.

The Albanian hitman signaled to the bench that he needed to be replaced and ceased action as play continued around him, sparking fears of serious injury.

However, Victory confirmed after the game that the switch was purely precautionary due to “stomach cramps”.

Victory has just completed three matches in 11 days, following the International Champions Cup friendlies against Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
