Mathew Leckie scored a double, while Andrew Nabbout hit the scoresheet along with an Jakub Jugas own goal from a Milos Degenek in the comfortable win.

Nabbout's goal boosted his hopes of being part of Australia's final World Cup squad which needs to be named by Monday.

"For him he's working hard," van Marwijk told Fox Sports.

"Those players need it. I'm very happy he scored a goal."

The Urawa Reds striker is among those contending for a forward spot alongside Tomi Juric who is battling a knee injury and late call-up Jamie Maclaren.

"Tomi trained fully with the group over the last two days," the Dutchman added. "I hope he will stay fit from now on."

Speaking about finalising his squad, van Marwijk added: "Not yet. Maybe for 90 per cent. I have to announce it on June 4, so I'll do it then."

Van Marwijk was content with Australia's display ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

"The organisation was for 80-90 per cent was good," van Marwijk said.

"The situation when the opponent has the ball we were standing very well.

"We got some chances. It's important for the players when they score a goal.

"Sometimes we did the right play in goal positions, sometimes we didn't, especially in the first half. Afterwards it was a bit better."

He added: "You must never be content. When you train for 12 days now.

"The last player came in after 11 days and we saw the progress in the team and improve you can be satisfied."
