FFA have announced that Dutch coach Bert Van Marwijk has been chosen as the new Socceroos boss.
Van Marwijk was heavily rumoured to take over the role for the 2018 World Cup. He led the Dutch national team to the 2010 World Cup final, where they lost to Spain in extra-time.

He's won the 2002 UEFA Cup with Feyenoord, and led Saudi Arabia to direct qualification at the expense of Australia. The 65-year-old has won over 65% of his matches as a national team manager.
