Besiktas took advantage of a slip-up from Trabzonspor to make it a three-way tie at the top of the Turkcell Super Lig.
Going into today's matches, Trabzonspor and Sivasspor led the way, but the former were beaten 1-0 at home by Konyaspor - Roman Kratochvil scoring an 84th-minute winner - while Besiktas joined them on 45 points with a 3-2 victory over Hacettepe SK.
Matias Delgado opened the scoring for Besiktas after 12 minutes and it was two six minutes later with Mert Nobre netting.
Despite their poor start, bottom side Hacettepe refused to roll over and they halved the deficit with 20 minutes gone through Patiyo Tambwe.
However, Deivson Bobo grabbed a third for Besiktas in the 68th minute, rendering Tambwe's second (87) merely a consolation.
Struggling Antalyaspor were denied a precious win over Gaziantepspor by a 90th-minute equaliser from Erkan Sekman. Ali Zitouni had given the visitors the lead 14 minutes from time.
Meanwhile, Denizlispor leapfrogged Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK thanks to a 2-0 away win. Burak Akyildiz opened the scoring in the 52nd minute and Tijani Babangida doubled the advantage 10 minutes later.
The win saw Denizlispor climb into 11th place while Istanbul Buyuksehir are now only two points above the relegation zone.
