FFA CEO Ben Buckley says there is no evidence of systemic betting on A-League matches by local players despite a trio of high profile players being sanctioned today for betting.

"We can only act on information provided to us. And at this stage we have no other information to suggest other players are involved," Buckley said today at a hastily arranged press conference.
"There is absolutely nothing to suggest within the information we've received ... that there is any form of systemic betting."
Kevin Muscat, Grant Brebner and Craig Moore were all sanctioned by FFA after they were caught betting through company Betfair of relatively small amounts on A-League games they did not play in.
Buckley said he hoped the fines and bans would provide a suitable deterrent for any other players and added he believed there was no collusion between the trio on the betting.
"From what we understand of the bet types, they were certainly made very much on an individual basis."
And insiders were keen to stress that there was no collusion between Muscat and Moore – both good friends – on the one game mentioned involving Queensland Roar.
Insiders say the bets were taken "around 10-20 minutes before the games mentioned".
Betfair notified FFA on November 28 of the bets. The national governing body then went ahead with its own investigations before announcing the fines today.
Buckley added he'd expect further sanctions to be taken by the respective clubs on the trio.
The FFA CEO added that in statements received from the players, he said they weren't aware they were breaking the FFA players' code of conduct.
It's been reported that Brebner was a recovering gambling addict when he signed a two-year contract with Victory last year, a contract which was recently renewed for a further two years.
At one stage Brebner developed a $6200-a-week gambling addiction that led him to spend a month in early 2004 in a rehabilitation clinic run by Sporting Chance, the charity founded by recovered alcoholic and former England and Arsenal captain Tony Adams.
