EXCLUSIVE: With Sydney FC's bank-busting transfer activity, Adam Biddle says he's up for the challenge of forcing his way into John Kosmina's strikeforce next season.

Speaking after his NSW premier league team Blacktown lost 3-0 away to a Franco Parisi-inspired Leichhardt Tigers on Sunday, the 19-year-old rookie told au.fourfourtwo.com that the arrival of marquee man John Aloisi and Jets' grand final hero and Olyroo Mark Bridge was a tonic to the team and himself.
“I'm excited," he said. "And it's great for the club. I want to do my best and keep pushing for a place so I look upon it as a challenge.
"They are great players. I can learn from John [Aloisi]. I just want to keep improving. I can't wait to get back into it."
At this stage, Sydney FC has their two new forward additions as well as Socceroo Alex Brosque, wonder-strike hero Brendon Santalab and Ben Vidaic in their forward ranks. It's going to be a real battle for spots at FC next season.
It's been a roller coaster A-League season for Biddle. The forward was elevated from Blacktown in the state league to the big time and ended up playing against David Beckham twice throughout the season.
The first time was in front of over 80,000 fans at ANZ stadium. The second occasion was at the Pan Pacific Championships in Honolulu.
Playing in front of hundreds – not thousands – has been something he has had to adjust to. Although the ever-smiling Biddle is taking it in his stride.
“The standard is good in the state league but it is a little slower and also the speed of thought is a little slower," he said.
“That's the life of a footballer. A few weeks ago I played against David Beckham in Honolulu and today I'm at Lambert Park. That's the life of a footballer and I'm really enjoying it.”
However, Biddle was less excited about the Demons' performance on Sunday. “We tried to play football but it just didn't work,” he said after the loss.
The exciting young striker came on as a half-time substitute but struggled to get into the game as the tight marking of nuggetty David D'Apuzzo gave him little room wide on the right.
Some crunching tackles on Biddle didn't help as the game threatened to boil over in the second stanza.
Biddle was kept on the bench by Demons supremo Ken Schembri as he has not trained for the last two weeks due to a family issue.
But he says playing in the NSW premier league will “keep me ticking over for when Sydney FC start training again”.
Also on show at Sunday's premier league match were former A-League talent Tyler and Jordan Simpson, Sydney FC keeper Ivan Necevski and former Jet Franco Parisi, who scored two excellent goals in a standout performance.
