Joachim Low's side go into the clash in Kaiserslautern yet to drop a point in Group A, while their opponents are still to get one.

Indeed, Kazakhstan have not even scored in their opening four qualifiers while the hosts already have a goal difference of 12.

"We are pleased that there is finally another competitive game upon us and of course want to win," said Bierhoff.

"The opponents are certainly not the biggest of names and therefore we are, as favourites, counting on three points.

"We want to book our place at Euro 2012 as quickly as possible.

"We are here with our strongest squad and want to entertain the fans with a good performance."

Germany won 3-0 in Kazakhstan last October, although they had to wait until the second half to open the scoring.

The game will be Low's first since he signed a two-year contract extension earlier this month to keep him as coach until after the 2014 World Cup finals.

And midfielder Mesut Ozil admitted that news was a boost to the whole squad.

"He is very important for the team, because he knows all of us," the Real Madrid man said.

"He has always given me belief and supported me."

On this weekend's game, Ozil admitted nothing less than a win would suffice.

"This game is very important for us," the former Werder Bremen star said. "We want the three points and will give everything to get them."

Germany, who take on Australia in a friendly in Monchengladbach on Tuesday, are without goalkeeper Rene Adler, who pulled out of the squad earlier this week with a muscle injury.
