TEENAGE Australian keeper Dean Bouzanis could be on the verge of a deal worth over $25,000 a week, with British newspapers reporting the 17-year-old is about to pen a new deal with Liverpool.
The News of the World has reported that Bouzanis, who was born in Sydney and has represented Australia at Under-17 and Under-23 level, is set to commit to the English giants on a five-year deal.
Bouzanis, rated as one of the best goalkeeping prospects in the world, has impressed Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez with his performances in the reserve side and in the FA Youth Cup.
Bouzanis was signed by Liverpool two years ago and after spending some time on loan at Sydney FC, returned to England where he has been learning his trade for the Liverpool academy side.
The talented teenager has yet to decide whether he will play international football for Australia or Greece and he represented Greece in the 2008 European Championships at Under-20 level.
