“Not long ago I was sitting in Adelaide with nothing to do – now I'm front of the world's media today,” he said this morning's packed press conference at Sydney's Star City Casino.

Sitting just along from him was the man the media had come to see - David Beckham – as well as new Galaxy coach Ruud Gullit and US striker Landon Donovan.

And while Beckham seemed intrigued by what Kosmina meant, the Sydney FC coach was sure that Tuesday night's sold out friendly at Telstra Stadium had value for his side.

“It's a great opportunity that doesn't come along very much," he said.

"To play in front of 80,000. We'll give some of the younger guys a run and we'll see how it pans out.

“It'll be great for guys like teenager Nick Tsattalios to get a run on such a big occasion.”
