AN Australian-based former Ghana star is warning his countrymen not to expect the Socceroos to be easy-beats despite their humiliating thumping by Germany.
Ransford Banini, who played for Ghana at the Under 20 World Cup in Australia before going on to play for Marconi and Melbourne Knights, is expecting a fired-up Socceroos team to line up this weekend.
"I know much about the Australian team. The fact that they lost against Germany does not make them easy to beat," he told Ghanaweb.com.
"I think it will be a very hard game for Ghana because they would want to revitalise their ambitions."
Banini accepts the loss of Tim Cahill is a blow for Australia, but again, warns his countrymen that there are other quality players to step up.
"The whole team play for each other and their work rate is really good," he added.
