MK DONS manager Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed that Blackburn are interested in signing midfielder Keith Andrews.
Andrews was named League Two player of the season as he captained the Dons to the title and Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Former Dons manager Paul Ince has taken over at Ewood Park and now appears keen to bring the Irishman to the Premier League.
Di Matteo told PA Sport: "There has been some contact there but there is nothing official to announce yet.
"Of course I'd love to keep my captain. He is an important player who had a fantastic season last year but we will see."
