FFA has fined Gold Coast United boss Miron Bleiberg $5000 and handed down a suspended one-match ban for comments he made following last week's 3-2 loss to Sydney FC.
Bleiberg labelled referee Peter Green a 'homey' (hometown) after the whistleblower awarded a dubious injury-time spot kick to seal the Sky Blues' pulsating win at the SFS.
Football Federation Australia determined Bleiberg had breached the National Code of Conduct and issued him with the fine and also a suspended one-match ban.
According to FFA's statement, the outspoken coach made 'disparaging or derogatory of a match official, opposition team or any player or official' and brought the game into disrepute through 'conduct, behaviour or statement that materially injures the reputation and goodwill of FFA or football generally'.
The one-match ban will only be imposed if Bleiberg is found to have committed a further breach of the Code prior to the end of the A-League season.
