BOAVISTA were plunged deeper into crisis on Friday when their stadium was seized by Portuguese fiscal authorities.
The news comes as the latest blow to the Porto-based club after they were kicked out of Portuguese Superliga in May for their part in the 'Final Whistle' corruption scandal.
In addition to their relegation to the Liga Vitalis the club was fined 180,000 euros while former president, Joao Loureiro, was handed a four-year suspension.
Last month the Boavista players had threatened to go on strike after they had gone unpaid for several months.
The club's financial status has continued to deteriorate leading to their 30,000-capacity Bessa Stadium being seized on Friday.
