Sydney FC has signed former Besiktas and Corinthians striker Bobo on a one-year deal worth AU$1 million according to reports.
The 31-year-old Brazilian arrived in Sydney earlier this week and completed a medical on Tuesday, before linking up with the squad on the Gold Coast on Wednesday.
Bobo becomes the club’s second marquee player alongside Filip Holosko, with Alex Brosque to be demoted within the salary cap.
The Sydney Morning Herald claims Brosque will sign soon alongside Bobo, completing the Sky Blues’ attacking options for 2016-17.
Bobo, who spent last season at Brazilian club Gremio, has spent most of his career in Turkey, making more than 200 appearances for Besiktas.
He also spent time with Turkish club Kayserispor from 2012 to 2015, along with spells at Brazilian clubs Corinthians, Cruzeiro and most recently Gremio.
The Sky Blues have one visa spot remaining on their roster for 2016-17, although rumours continue to swirl about Milos Ninkovic joining Qatari club Al Gharafa.
