Sydney FC striker Bobo believes the Sky Blues are good enough to win the A-League Championship and Asian Champions League (ACL) in 2018.
The Sky Blues extended their lead over second-placed Newcastle Jets on Friday night after a 3-1 win over archrivals Melbourne Victory, with a Bobo double helping them over the line.
The Brazilian is leading the golden boot race with 18 goals in 18 games this season, surpassing ex-Sydney striker Marc Janko’s previous record of 16 goals in a single campaign.
And the striker is confident Sydney can be the champions of Australia and Asia in 2018.
“I think we can do it, it’s hard work, but we can do it, we have a great team,” Bobo told FourFourTwo.
“Before the Champions League starts, it’s important that we go out to get points away and we’re now nine points in front now.
“When the Champions League starts, it’s difficult because we might play two games in a week and we’ll be in Japan and China. They’re long trips, but it’s OK, everything is good.”
Western Sydney Wanderers broke records when they were the first Australian club to win the ACL in 2014.
The reigning champions will kick off their ACL campaign on February 14 against either South Korean outfit Suwon Bluewings or Vietnamese side FLC Thanh Hoa who will compete in the play-off next week.

Bobo felt his side had a positive mentality which has seen them avoid the championship hangover this season.
The 33-year-old said the way they recovered after going 1-0 down to Victory on Friday was an example.
“The mentality we had when we conceded was to just keep coming, believe, stay positive on the pitch and we believed in ourselves,” he said.
“We have a great team, we’ll just keep working and we will score.
“I’m very happy I’m scoring goals, but it’s not just me, it’s the whole team. It was a great assist from Lukey (Wilkshire) and Adrian (Mierzejewski) had a good pass to create the penalty, so it’s not about me, it’s the team.
“We’re doing great work in training, we prepared as best as we could for that game against Victory and after the first goal, we stayed calm on the pitch and we scored goals. The most important thing is we got three points away from home.”
