MELBOURNE Heart goalkeeper Clint Bolton has claimed his second Player of the Year award for the club after an impressive campaign between the posts.
After a season which saw him move to second on the all-time Australian national league appearances list and earn a spot in the PFA's A-League Team of the Year, 36-year-old Bolton topped the Heart's major award ahead of Eli Babalj, Mate Dugandzic, Fred and Michael Marrone.
Bolton kept seven clean sheets in 26 appearances this season as the Heart qualified for the A-League finals for the first time in just their second season in the competition.
Outgoing head coach John van 't Schip said Bolton was a deserving winner of the award.
"Clint's professionalism and thorough approach to match day preparation and training has allowed him to perform at an elite level for an incredibly long time," van 't Schip said.
"Throughout the season, Clint was called upon time and time again to produce key saves and guide our defence, which is among the key reasons we were able to qualify for the finals series.
"On behalf of everyone at the club, we congratulate Clint on his achievement and the consistency he has now demonstrated across two seasons."
Bolton and Fred were joint winners of the Supporters Player of the Year, while Eli Babalj was the recipient of the John Aloisi Golden Boot for leading goal scorer and Aziz Behich won the Clubman Award.
