Bolton enjoyed an excellent season for former club Sydney FC and played his full part in helping them win the big prize.

But that was then and the experienced custodian is already looking to his new challenge. He admits being part of a club's birth is tremendously exciting.

"My future is in Melbourne and I'm very happy and very excited by the prospect of the Melbourne Heart coming into the competition and I can't wait for the buzz," he told Heart's official website today.

"I remember the first year at Sydney, the buzz around the new team, the new club was just fantastic and I'm expecting the same thing down in Melbourne."

Bolton is one of several confirmed signings with Heart coach John van't Schip also having scoured both Europe and South America in the hunt for players.

Bolton's ex Sydney FC teammates John Aloisi is also believed to be a target for Heart although he has yet put pen to paper and Simon Colosimo is understood to be have signed a deal to join Heart if he returns from Korean club FC Seoul.
