The first Sydney Derby lived up to its lofty expectations once again, with both sides fighting 'til the end to try and steal all three points.

Josh Brillante (Sydney FC) - Nike Tiempo VII

Brillante lined up in Nike's Tiempo Legend VII, the most popular boot of choice on display throughout the 90 minutes. The midfielder managed to grab a goal to rescue a point for the Sky Blues.

Bobo (Sydney FC) - Adidas NEMEZIZ, Pyro Storm Pack

Sydney FC's Brazilian striker took to the pitch in a pair of the Adidas NEMEZIZ, from the stunning recent Pyro Storm Pack. The boot choice paid off, scoring from the spot to bring Sydney back into the game.

Kearyn Baccus (Western Sydney Wanderers) - Nike Mercurial Vapor

The Wanderers midfielder laced up in an older pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor CR7 boots, something we have become accustomed to with Baccus, rarely seeing him lacing up in any other boot.

Luke Wilkshere (Sydney FC) - Nike Tiempo VII

The former Socceroos fullback has been in boot-limbo switching between Nike and Adidas ever since the 2010 FIFA World Cup. For now, it seems the veteran has settled with Nike.

Brendan Hamill (Western Sydney Wanderers) - Nike Tiempo VII

Who doesn't love a goalscoring centreback, unless you're a Sydney FC fan of course. Brendan Hamill stepped up to the plate in fine fashion, while wearing the Nike Tiempo Legend VII.

Jordy Buiijs (Sydney FC) - Pele Sports Triny 3E SheOne Limited Edition

Jordy Buijs took to the Allianz pitch in something different, a pair of boots we haven't seen since the 2013-14 A-League season when Adelaide United's former fan favourite Jeronimo showed off the underrated Pele Sports Trinity range. Buijs has been wearing the now-defunct brand since his arrival in Australia, and doesn't seem to have any intentions in swapping.

Oriol Riera (Western Sydney Wanderers) - Mizuno Morelia Neo

The big Spaniard has brought over a new look to Aussie shores from Spain this season, opting to stick with Mizuno's deadly looking Morelia Neo. Riera managed to score for the third game running, and in doing that took home the honour of scoring the fastest Sydney Derby goal.

Mark Bridge (Western Sydney Wanderers) - Asics Menace

Asics have upped their desire to prove themselves as a leading football boot brand after conquering other codes. Wanderers danger man Mark Bridge has signed on with Asics this season, and slipped into a pair of the Menace for Saturday night's Derby.

Roly Bonevacia (Western Sydney Wanderers) - Adidas ACE 17.1, Pyro Storm Pack

Bonevancia laced up in a laceless pair of Adidas' ACE 171, from the recent Pyro Storm Pack. The Dutchman had a quiet night compared to his high expectations, but definitely caught the eyes of everyone.
