The drama and action of the Westfield W-League returned for its tenth instalment, with Sydney FC hosting the Roar before heading to the opposite side of the country, where reigning Champions Melbourne City struggled against the Perth Glory.

Emily Sonnett (Sydney FC) - Adidas X 16+

Sydney FC's American import Emily Sonnett made her debut in Sky Blue wearing the Adidas X 16+ and managed to score from the spot. Fresh from a Championship winning NWSL season with the Portland Thorns, the USWNT star started on the bench, as she continues her preparation with Sydney FC.

Katrina Gorry (Brisbane Roar) - Nike Hypervenom Phantom III DF

'Mini' managed to grab the season's first goal in the space of just 21 seconds, with a superb strike following an Allira Toby cross. The Matilda showed off a stunning pair of Nike's Hypervenom Phantom, part of the Womens Pack.

Nicola Bolger (Perth Glory) - Nike Tiempo Legend VI

The former Newcastle Jets and Sydney FC midfielder took to the NIB Stadium pitch on Friday night in a pair of the Nike womens Tiempo Legend VI, part of the Motion Blur Pack. Bolger managed to snag a goal, adding to the four times Perth hit the back of the City net.

Yukari Kinga (Melbourne City) - Mizuno Morelia Neo

After one season with Canberra United and her first ever season in Australia, Yukari Kinga traded the Green of the Capital to head to Melbourne City for her second season down under. Linking up with what is arguably the best squad in the W-League this season, the Japanese midfielder wears the brand of her homeland, Mizuno, opting for the Morelia Neo boot.

Sam Kerr (Perth Glory) - Nike Mercurial Superfly

Don't change from what works is exactly the thinking behind Sam Kerr's boot choice recently. Stuck in a crazy good run of form, the Aussie superstar carried over her form from the US, scoring within five minutes of the new W-League season. Kerr has remained in Nike's Mercurial Superfly from the Lock in Let Loose pack for a couple of months.

Summer O'Brien (Brisbane Roar) - Nike Magista Obra II Blackout

Brisbane Roar's Summer O'Brien gave us a hell of a challenge in trying to identify exactly what boots she wore against the Sky Blues, and we are 99% sure that they are Nike's Magista Obra. If you think differently, let us know.

Rachel Hill (Perth Glory) - Nike Magista Opus, 2014 FIFA World Cup Edition

How's this for a throwback? Rachel Hill, one of the Perth Glory's US imports bagged a brace in her first Australian game while wearing Nike's 2014 Magista Opus.

Liz Ralston (Sydney FC) - Adidas Gloro 16.1

Sydney FC centreback Liz Ralston took to the turf of Allianz Stadium in one of Adidas' now discontinued boot models, the Gloro 16.1.

Raquel Rodriguez (Perth Glory) - New Balance Furon 3.0

One of the most exciting signings of the 2017-18 W-League season, Costa Rican Raquel Rodriguez played her first ever game on Australian soil, and was vital in securing a big win for the Perth Glory. Rodriguez is one of very few players we'll see wearing New Balance this season.
