MIDDLESBROUGH have denied that any deal has been agreed to sell Socceroo back up goalkeeper Brad Jones to Liverpool despite widespread claims to the contrary.
Reports today suggested the Australia international was set to join Liverpool, but Boro shot down the claims.
"Boro have this afternoon confirmed that they have not reached an agreement with any club for the sale of goalkeeper Brad Jones," said a statement on their website.
However, manager Gordon Strachan refused to confirm that Jones would be in the squad for the trip to face Leicester on Saturday.
"I've no idea, we'll pick a squad tomorrow of available people," he said.
"The big bonus is Jason Steele did terrifically well at Chesterfield."
