Australian forward Brandon Borrello made a brilliant impact off the bench overnight as Kaiserslautern claimed a drought-breaking 3-0 win over Greuther Furth in Germany's 2.Bundesliga.
Borrello, who left Brisbane Roar for Germany in the off-season, entered the fray after 59 minutes with scores locked at 0-0.
Kaiserslautern took the lead on 71 minutes when Stefan Andersson headed home from close range.
Borrello played a part as the Red Devils doubled their advantage on 74 minutes, when he was found at the back post.
From there, the Australian's cutback caused chaos inside the box, allowing Manfred Osei-Kwadwo to tee up Andersson to make it 2-0.
Borrello was heavily involved for the third goal, breaking down the right flank, before playing a well-weighted ball inside the box for Gino Fechner who squared to Andersson to convert.
The win was Kaiserslautern's first of the season and lifts them above Greuther Furth into 17th spot.
Elsewhere in Germany's 2.Bundesliga, Jamie Maclaren was an unused sub as fourth-placed Darmstadt 98 lost 3-0 at Ingolstadt.
In England's Championship, Massimo Luongo readied himself for Socceroos duty with a full shift, which included a few chances on goal, as QPR lost 2-1 at home to Fulham.
In Denmark's Superliga, Mustafa Amini played the full 90 minutes as AGF eased to a 5-1 away win over FC Helsingor.
