The 22-year-old Aussie only scored his debut  goal for FC Kaiserslautern on February 10. He wasted no time nabbing a second, this time against Jamie Maclaren's former club Darmstadt as Borrello pushes his club further towards 2.Bundesliga survival.

The Red Devils won 2-1, leaving them four points off safety in their relegation battle. His run of form can be put down to new Kaiserslautern coach, Jeff Strasser.

The German has shown a particular fondness for Borrello's style, which is getting the most out of the Aussie.

Borrello now has five assists and two goals in 15 games, making him a late selection-contender for Bert van Marwijk's Socceroos squad.

He's is yet to be capped for the Socceroos, but the 22-year-old has made plenty of appearances at u/20 and u/23 level.
