Borussia Dortmund’s electric new home kit for the 2019/20 season has been unveiled, with the Puma-manufactured strip celebrating 110 years of club history.

To honour the impressive anniversary, the inside of the back of the neck features the words, “110 Jahre – Gestern – Heute – Morgen – Für Immer Borussia Dortmund”, translating to “110 Years- Yesterday – Today – Tomorrow – Forever Borussia Dortmund”.

The yellow-bodied jersey will again see German chemical company Evonik as the front-of-shirt sponsor, with their logo having featured on Dortmund kits for the past decade.

The shirt’s sleeves are certainly the most exciting element of the whole piece, with an abstract, black diagonal-stripes pattern adorning either shoulder.

Black sleeve cuffs compliment the jersey’s two-toned collar, whilst the kit is rounded off with black shorts and black-and-yellow striped socks.

A minor change from previous years, player names and numbers will now appear below the team name ‘Dortmund’ on the back of the kits, which is in line with the layouts of other Bundesliga jerseys.

Perhaps the surprise highlight of the unveiling, Dortmund’s goalkeepers will have a selection of gorgeous uniforms for next season, though the green variation severely pales in contrast to its absolutely stunning black and violet counterparts.
