LYON defender Jean-Alain Boumsong is a step closer to completing his move to Greek side Panathinaikos after the two clubs agreed a fee for the much-travelled centre back.
Boumsong landed in Athens yesterday afternoon and successfully underwent a medical.
A note on the OL website read: "Panathinaikos and OL have come to an agreement for the transfer of Jean-Alain Boumsong, who successfully passed a medical at Athens on Thursday.
"The transaction was concluded for a sum of 500,000 euros with a possible bonus of 250,000 euros."
The move would see Boumsong reunited with France team-mates Djibril Cisse and Sidney Govou.
Boumsong spent four years with Cisse at Auxerre, while he has spent the past two years in the same Lyon side as Govou.
The 30-year-old also lists Le Havre, Rangers, Newcastle and Juventus among his former teams.
