Bouzanias recently told au.fourfourtwo.com about the possibility of a loan deal away from Liverpool and Welsh side Wrexham, who play in the Blue Square Premier League (the highest non-league division) are keen to give the youngster experience.

Boss Saunders told the club's official website: "Both clubs have agreed the deal. But it's all a bit of a rush for this afternoon, so we are hoping to see the player at some stage next week."

The deal is expected to be structured in a way that allows Bouzanis to remain in Liverpool and train with the Reds for a portion of the week.

It remains to be seen how the Under 20 World Cup could impact on any such loan deal but the player has firmly nailed his international colours to the Australian mast.

With the Olympics in 2012 in England, many see Bouzanis as the ideal number one for our Olyroo campaign. After that, he may well become a fixture in the green and gold, such is his undoubted potential.

"Australian football's excelled in the last few years and I hope to be part of it as soon as I can," the Sydney-born keeper said.

"Obviously this campaign [2010] might be a bit too soon for me but if I keep doing well in another two years... To be part of that squad [Olyroos 2012] would be a great thing."
