Scotland goal hero Kris Boyd hopes his strike against Lithuania is enough to secure his place in the side to face France.
The Rangers striker glanced home a 31st-minute header to set the Scots on the road to a 3-1 Euro 2008 qualifying victory over their opponents at Hampden.
Scotland boss Alex McLeish paired Boyd with Garry O'Connor yesterday but was given food for thought after the contribution of substitutes James McFadden and Shaun Maloney.
Seconds after coming on, Maloney set up Stephen McManus to put Scotland ahead in the 77th minute after Tomas Danilevicius had levelled from the penalty spot.
And Everton forward McFadden curled a glorious 25-yard shot into the top corner to seal the victory.
Although Boyd is desperate to play his part in the Parc des Princes, he insists he will get on with it no matter what team are sent out on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old explained: "It's another goal and of course I will be looking forward to Wednesday night now.
"If I start then I will give it my best and if I don't then I will take it on the chin and go again. The gaffer will pick the team he thinks can go and win the game."
The former Kilmarnock hitman was delighted with the victory over the Lithuanians and feels the Scots have set themselves up nicely for the attempt to repeat last year's 1-0 win over the French.
Saturday's triumph ensured McLeish's men travel to Paris in second place and France's subsequent 0-0 draw with Italy in Milan means there is just two points separating the three teams at the top of the group.
Boyd added: "We obviously set out to get the three points and we've done that so we can look forward to Wednesday with confidence.
"The pressure is all on the French to come out and beat us. If we can nick anything then it will be a bonus.
"They were runners up in the World Cup and they are going to be a very different team to play against and it is down to us to go and sit in and make it hard for them.
"If we get anything of course it will a bonus, we won't be getting carried away.
"We were probably fortunate to beat them 1-0 but they are a quality side that will cause us problems."
