FORMER Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Bosnich insists Mark Bresciano is one of a kind in the Australian squad and Pim Verbeek simply must start him against Ghana this weekend.
Bresciano was overlooked for the opening game against Germany and Bosnich, who was fiercely critical of the approach ahead of the 4-0 thrashing, is adamant that the midfielder must be restored to the starting line up - along with Harry Kewell.
Demanding that the Australians show the necessary fight against Ghana, Bosnich said Kewell must play, no question, and that Pim Verbeek simply had to call on Bresciano.
"Bresc has played at the highest level for a very long time," he told News Ltd. He's got a lot of experience and a lot to prove, and in his position we haven't got other players who are as good as him, so he must play.
"Harry and Bresc playing will give us a better chance to win because in football, you need to score goals to win."
