Olympic sits in seventh on the NSW premier league ladder, just one point out of the top five with 15 points.

Tellingly, though, they have the third worst defensive record with 24 goals conceded in 11 games going into this Sunday's clash with Bonnyrigg (kick-off 4pm).

Theodorakopoulos hopes Bosnich's organisational skills will stiffen his leaky defence in the coming weeks.

"When you're coaching at the top level, or close to that, it's about winning. So I expect Bozza to command the back and obviously to keep as many clean sheets as possible.

"And I think you'll find a lot of the players will lift as well. It's a good club with some very talented young boys.

"I've got four central defenders for two spots and the two not in the first XI really want to be in the side. And that goes for across the side. It does create a lot of positive talk."

The deal took a few weeks to come together after it was first reported on au.foufourtwo.com last month.

But last Friday the deal was struck and the former Jets boss couldn't be happier. "This is a very memorable signing in my coaching career.

"But it's still a stepping stone and I don't think the competition will ever lose that."

An interested spectator at Sunday's clash will be Gold Coast supremo Miron Bleiberg - a coach Theodorakopoulos says will be a boon for the A-League in season five.

"I'd like to wish Miron all the best. The game needs someone like Miron to me not only can he coach, but he's a great character. We also need great characters on the sidelines as coaches to give that added perspective on the game."

However the former Newcastle Jets A-League and Wollongong Wolves and Parramatta NSL coach says his interests outside of the game (he runs a business as well as coaching Olympic) mean a return to the A-League is unlikely in the short-term at least.

"I don't lose any sleep over it. It's just unfortunate that we have so few opportunities in coaching and there are other quality coaches who aren't coaching in the A-League."

In A-League news, Sydney FC is tipped to trial a left-sided South Korean defender in the next week while a Chinese international is also said to be on his way to trial for an unnamed A-League club.

Meanwhile, Brazilian star Denilson's move to Perth Glory is still in negotiation with the player's brother now perusing a year-long contract offer. A decision is expected in the next week or two.
