The hosts, who have won the tournament three times including the last time out in 2005, have been placed in Group B, alongside Trinidad & Tobago, Guatemala and El Salvador.

"I think it's a fair group, but still a tough one," said Bradley.

"It gives us an opportunity to start with Guatemala, a team that we know well and we'll know better because we'll play them in March, and the opportunity to start by playing both games in Los Angeles.

"I think there are some very good parts to it for us."

Mexico coach Hugo Sanchez called on his side to make history after seeing them drawn in Group C alongside Panama, Honduras and Cuba.

He said: "This is a new era for the Mexican team and I am convinced we are going to make history, but to start this history that will be so beautiful we have to win the Gold Cup."

Group A, meanwhile, is made up of Costa Rica, 2000 champions Canada, Haiti and Guadeloupe.

The Gold Cup kicks off on June 6 and runs across six cities in the US until June 24.
