Australian forward Brandon Borello has been signed by top flight German side SC Freiburg.
Borrello joins Freiburg from second division club FC Kasierslautern.
The 22-year-old impressed in Germany last season, scoring three goals and notching eight assists in 22 appearances.
But his season and his chances of a Socceroos spot at the 2018 World Cup were cruelled by a cruicate ligament rupture he suffered in April.

Freiburg finished 15th in the Bundesliga last season, just three points above the relegation zone.
"Brandon is a really talented and variable offensive player. He developed after his move from Australia to Germany within a very short time very well,” sports director Klemens Hartenbach told the club's website.
"We were already in agreement with the player before his injury, so that it was natural for us to stand by our word (and we) will build up Brandon cautiously and look forward to the time he can stand on the field for the sports club."
