ROMANIA coach Victor Piturca has axed striker Florin Bratu and midfielder Ciprian Deac from his squad for Euro 2008.
Bratu, of Dinamo Bucharest, and Deac, who plays for CFR 1907 Cluj, were the two to miss out on places in the final 23-man party when Piturca trimmed his preliminary squad on Wednesday.
Romania kick off their Euro 2008 campaign against France in Zurich on June 9 and will also face Italy and Holland in the group stage.
