Brazil president Luiz Inacio 'Lula' da Silva is confident his country will be named hosts of the 2014 World Cup today.
If Brazil, as expected, are awarded the event by FIFA, it will have been 64 years between World Cups in the country.
They are the lone candidate this time.
Lula said in his weekly radio show: "I'm flying to Zurich today (Monday) because I'm expecting great news about Brazil hosting the World Cup after 64 years.
"This time, we'll host it to win it."
Brazil were upset in the 1950 final by Uruguay, losing 2-1.
