To see the Socceroos train on Wednesday...
Rhys Williams, Tommy Oar, Shane Lowry, James Holland and Eugene Galekovic have all missed out, Williams the shock omission among the five.
But while pointing to the fact that football can be a tough game and that some had to miss out, Bresciano said those missing out would not be forgotten by those fortunate enough to remain.
"That's part of the World Cup, only 23 men can go," Bresciano told News Limited. "Everyone that does get picked should be proud and play for the boys that missed out."
Skipper Lucas Neill added: "To all those guys that have been here, they've been brilliant but without sounding harsh, its football.
"They've worked very hard and either way I'm sure they'll wish us well like we'll wish them well."
