Nike has worked with many of the overseas-based Socceroos to come up with a design that remains true to the popular kit worn at World Cup 2006, but with a few subtle changes.
Socceroo midfielder Mark Bresciano – who arrives in Melbourne later tonight from Italy – tells au.fourfourtwo.com that the new design will allow the Socceroos to stay even cooler during when the temperature rises.
“We're looking for comfort as well and also try to help us out in the heat so I think that's worked with this good design,” says the Palermo midfielder.
“It looks pretty similar to the previous one... they're improving it every time it comes out. It just gets better and better.”
FourFourTwo Australia magazine March 2008 issue is out this Wednesday February 6 with Mark Bresciano modelling the new Socceroo kit on the cover. Inside you'll find a feature on the Serie A-based Socceroo.
(PS - we know that's Scott McDonald, not Bresh, but he's not arrived yet...and no, that's not the new strip, just the new training top.)
