Eurosport claim the Greek Super League outfit have shown interest in the 30-year-old Australian who will most likely be available on a free transfer with his future appearing away from Sicily.

AEK are believed to be willing to offer Bresciano a two-year-deal, although the terms of the contract haven't been agreed with the Socceroo reportedly wanting more than the financially troubled Athenians can give.

It is also understood Bresciano has had interest from Qatari top flight clubs, Al-Sadd and Al-Ahly, who would be capable of meeting the Australian's financial demands.

Bresciano was linked with Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab last year but the Middle East move never eventuated.

More recently the Aussie midfielder, who hasn't played for Palermo since February 13, has been linked with moves to Sampdoria and Stoke City.
