Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Fulham and Blackburn Rovers have all today been linked with the Australian international who had a proposed move to Manchester City collapse in August 2007.

Palermo's Director of Sport Walter Sabatini told Italian channel Radio Kiss Kiss recently, "There is a great deal of interest in Bresciano at European level.

“Despite being in the shade last season, he is held in a lot of esteem and there will be no problems finding him a new club.”

Bresciano stated last November that he was happy with life in Italy and wasn't desperate for a move to England after the disappointment of his failed Manchester City move.

But the Australian admitted more recently, "I’d love to give it a go, because it’s come to the stage where I would like to try it out just to try something different.”

“Obviously because a lot of my team-mates in the Aussie team are there so I think there’d be a good chance to get there.”

And having failed to regularly hold down a first-team spot at Palermo this season, perhaps Bresciano is thinking about a Premier League move?
