Midfielder Mark Bresciano is confident he will be fit for Australia's opening AFC Asian Cup game against Oman on Sunday.
The Palermo man injured his big toe on his right foot during a training session in Singapore on Tuesday.
However, he was able to take part in training in the Socceroos' first session in Thailand and he believes he will make the Group A game at the Rajamangala stadium.
"Today (Thursday) was our first training session since then and I came through it okay," he said. "I am sure I will be okay for the weekend.
"It is something we are all looking forward to, we are also very excited as it is the first time we have taken part in the Asian Cup and hopefully we can get good results.
"The fans I believe are expecting a lot from the national team, coming off the back of a successful World Cup I think we are under a bit of pressure but we have to remember that we are coming up against some good teams.
"Hopefully we can aim for the final."
The AFC Asian Cup runs from July 7-29 with Thailand opening the tournament with a Group A fixture against Iraq on Saturday.
