After netting in the 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory, Bridge struck again in last weekend's 3-3 draw with Central Coast Mariners.

Speaking ahead of Friday's clash with Wellington Phoenix at Sydney Football Stadium, the former Newcastle Jet said: "It’s always good as a striker to score goals but I’ve been happy with my performances this season.

“I’ve been pretty consistent so as long as I keep that up the goals should continue to come.

“I was happy to score (against Central Coast) but I’m just disappointed that we couldn’t hang on and win the game.

“Of course you’re disappointed in yourselves after throwing away a three nil lead and the chance to go top of the table but it’s a short week, which is good for us, we’ll get a couple of sessions in and then try and make amends on Friday.”

Sydney will return to the SFS this weekend to play host to Wellington Phoenix on Friday night, and Bridge is confident he and his team-mates will be back on top of their game.

“I think the boys are going to be raring to go this week, to get a result and go into the international break with three points and hopefully the competition lead," he said.

Fellow forward Alex Brosque will make his 50th A-League appearance for Sydney on Friday.

He said: "It’s a nice milestone. Sydney’s my home town and I’ve just signed a new deal to stay at the club so to reach 50 games is a good feeling and I’m looking forward to many more.”
